1993 by Hal Lord, a former COMDEX executive, one the worlds most influential IT
conferences and expositions. Under Lord's direction LMI has focused
on the role international business development and sales represent in enhancing
the competitive positioning and profitability of US based organizations
committed to global expansion. "Global expansion achieved through
skillfully formed strategic alliances represented some of the key ingredients in
the rapid growth and development of the COMDEX brand", claims
Lord. Since COMDEX, Lord has participated in the global expansion of
multi-national companies as varied as IBM, Microsoft, Gartner Research,
Forrester Research, IDG World Expo, Mecklermedia, DCI, Jupitermedia, CMP, and
more recently as Vice President of Sales at the Venetian Resort, in Macau (SAR),
P. R. China. LMI also provides feasibility studies market reseach to US
based institutional investors and Private Equity Funds interested in participating in large scale master planning and
economic development projects in the Asia/Pacific region.
Key
Management:
LMI
project management teams are headed up by George Fournier a twenty year veteran
of the MICE industry. George possesses an MBA from University of
Louisville and is multi-lingual speaking Spanish, Portuguese, Papiamento and
German. George was instrumental in expanding Comdex and the International
Travel Industry Expo (ITIX) throughout Latin America during his tenure at The
Interface Group (TIG), Needham, MA. Subsequent to George's TIG experience
he joined Mecklermedia in furthering the rapid expansion of Internet World
in Latin America and the EU. When Internet World was acquired by Penton,
George was retained among key staff as an international business development
specialist. George joined LMI in 2002 and has continued his thought
leadership and industry influence as LMI's Vice President of Marketing and
Sales.
