Management Team
The principles under which LMI was established are a direct result of the "lessons learned" from our COMDEX experience. Hal was instrumental in putting "InternetWorld Conference & Exposition" on the map domestically and internationally. First by expanding IW into Boston, San Jose and New York. Then by licensing "InternetWorld" and the magazine in 18 countries within a 16 month period. Tradeshow Week was characterized "IW" as the "fastest growing tradeshow in the history of the tradeshow industry". LMI expertise has been retained by Gartner Research among others. LMI reorganized Gartner's Tokyo, Japan operation and set up a general sales agent network in support of the SymposiumITXpo and the hiring of a new GM.... Vision Events benefited from LMI project management by expanding sales into Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines and Singapore..... IDGWorldExpo expanded its product offerings when LMI licensed its LinuxWorld Expo and BioITExpo into Korea. Other examples of client success stories include the global expansion of Yankee Group Research, DCI, Jupitermedia, CMP. Additional clients include, the World Trade Center-Boston, IBM and Microsoft and the Venetian Resort and Convention Center, Macau (SAR) China. Countries where LMI has successfully formed and managed strategic alliances include: Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, India, Australia, UK, France, Germany, The Czech Republic, Israel, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. Hal Lord, President & CEO Lexingt George Fournier Director Marketing/Sales LMI project management teams are led by George Fournier a twenty year veteran of the conference & exhibition industry. George possesses an MBA from the University of Louisville and specializes in support of LMI clients in Spain, Portugal The Czech Republic and Latin American. George is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and he has contributed to numerous projects in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Germany, Portugal, Spain the Czech Republic. and his native Puerto Rico. George was instrumental in the expansion of COMDEX in his formative years as well as successes related to the and launch of the International Travel Industry Expo (ITIX). Subsequent to George's COMDEX experience he joined Mecklermedia in furthering the rapid expansion of Internet World in Latin America and the EU. When Internet World was acquired by Penton, George was retained among key executives as an international business development specialist. George joined LMI in 2002 and has maintained his thought leadership and industry influence within the conference & exhibition industry and is LMI's Vice President of Marketing & Sales. |
